PENGALAMAN INTERNSHIP SEBAGAI IETS TRAINEE DI TOP GLOVE KELANTAN !

Real talk — the past six months have been a whole journey. 😮‍💨💭

I’ve grown so much during my trainee days, and honestly? It changed me in ways I didn’t expect. I’ve replayed certain moments over and over in my head — moments I wish I had done differently, but also ones that made me realize how far I’ve come. 🛤️

One of the biggest plot twists? Realizing I could actually do stuff people usually label as “men’s work” and do it solo. 💪 Like okay, I’m not out here lifting 50kg like a gym rat 🏋️‍♀️, but that doesn’t mean I can’t hold my own. There’s something super empowering about figuring things out on your own and knowing you’re more capable than you ever gave yourself credit for. 🧠✨

I wouldn’t say I’m the strongest person ever, but resilience? Yeah, I’ve got that in spades. 😤 And it’s not about flexing and it’s about recognizing that growth usually happens when you’re outside your comfort zone, doing the hard things. 🚀🌱

So here’s the tea ☕ on my experience: I spent six months as a trainee at Top Glove in Kelantan. If you're someone who’s cool with the heat 🔥, machines ⚙️, factory vibes, and troubleshooting pump problems 💧— IETS might actually be your thing. Every factory’s different, so your experience might not be a copy-paste of mine, but if you’re even a little curious, just know it’s gonna challenge you and shape you in the best way. 💯🌟

1) Best tak IETS?

All I can say is — pengalaman tu memang tak boleh beli! 🔥💯

Serius, sepanjang training ni banyak gila benda aku belajar — dari handle pump 💧, pipeline 🛠️, wastewater, sampai lah hari-hari round factory check environment 🌱.

Kena deal dengan engineer dari department lain 👷‍♂️, belajar berdikari ✌️, and paling penting — kena berani cakap & tegas dengan workers & operators 💬💪.

Kadang-kadang kena push diri sendiri untuk communicate dgn technician maintenance pasal design itu ini. Bukan senang, tapi sangat worth it bila kau nampak progress diri sendiri.

This whole journey bukan just pasal kerja je — tapi pasal personal growth, resilience, and belajar survive in a real-world environment 💼✨.

2) Ramai tak student trainee dalam IETS dalam satu satu masa?

Dulu trainee kami dua orang je — sorang guy, sorang girl. Kalau sorang turun site, sorang lagi cover kat ofis. Ganti-ganti, macam shift sendiri gitu 😎

3) Job scope IETS? Ini pengalaman aku ye

👉 Hari-hari kena test air sample — dari incoming sampai ke final discharge 💧🔬. Routine dia serious, tapi best bila dah biasa.

👉 Kena belajar repair pump, and figure out kenapa pump tu asyik buat hal je 😩. Let’s be real, as a girl memang rasa susah sikit sebab tenaga tak sekuat laki HAHA 😂 tapi sebab belajar and ramai yang tolong — especially intern boys & abang-abang worker — so boleh la survive.

👉 Part paling nervous — kena conduct training untuk operators, both local & foreign. Tapi jangan risau, foreign workers sini ramai yang boleh speaking Melayu okay 😌👏

👉 Kena handle Scheduled Waste Disposal 🗑️ sorang-sorang! Masa ni SV aku memang bagi full trust… tapi aku buat silap 😭 rasa nak nangis weh, tapi y’know what — it’s part of learning ✨

👉 Kena pandai deal dengan suppliers luar kilang 🧾📞. Kadang tu rasa takut jugak kena scam HAHAHA 🤡 tapi tu la, kena bijak & confident bila communicate.

👉 Kena masuk line production and inspect every line. Kalau nampak ada illegal discharge or effluent pelik-pelik, terus inform supervisor. Don’t keep it to yourself, ok!

👉 Always kena follow up dengan team maintenance & electrical — make sure dorang dah siapkan task yang kita assign. Tapi kena chill la, jangan push sangat… kena pandai jaga hati dorang juga 😅💬 (ni part paling tricky hahaha)

Pump and pipeline troubleshooting with IETS and RO team 

Learn how to repair the inner side of the centrifugal pump

Monitor the scheduled waste disposal to the disposal center in Klang

So basically, I was a trainee under the IETS department at Top Glove. Masa tu, honestly aku tak minta pun masuk department ni sebab aku sendiri tak tahu pun ada department lain dekat Top Glove selain production dengan R&D 😅

Aku kena interview masa UniMAP Career Fair — recruiter dari HQ yang approach and explain pasal vacancy. Masa tu aku macam, “Okay, why not?” and terus apply sebab minat nak try something hands-on 🔧

Lepas sebulan menunggu jawapan, alhamdulillah aku dapat placement kat Kota Bharu, Kelantan 🌴. First time buka email dari hiring manager — "Warmest Greeting from Top Glove" — terus rasa goosebumps 😭🫣

To be honest, aku tak pernah confident sangat dengan diri sendiri. I’m not a top student, my CGPA biasa-biasa je. Tapi bila dapat peluang ni, aku tahu — this is my time to prove myself. To show what I’m capable of. To apply my skills, especially technical ones. Dan ya, benda yang aku doa selama ni jadi kenyataan 🙌

Sepanjang internship tu memang full of challenges, but at the same time — seriously one of the best experiences ever. 🔥💼
